Representative Authorship

We welcome submissions from all walks of life, but we will be prioritizing print publication of Indigenous youth, as well as ensuring gender diversity and featuring work by new writers and artists and submissions written in/about traditional languages.

We do not publish work by non-Indigenous authors that fail to address Indigenous experience or Indigenous/non-Indigenous relations.

Written Submissions: Copy-editing and design process

If your written work is shortlisted for print publication, our editing team will contact you with a copy-edited draft for your approval. The edited draft will then be integrated into the print magazine by our design team.

Our design process typically involves integrating written work with art and photography submissions by other contributors, though we will make every effort to use images that you may submit with your written work.
